Shipping Overview
Every 3R Simworks product is built, inspected, and packaged with care. We ship to customers across Canada, the United States, and select international regions. Shipping costs can vary by region, carrier, and dimensional weight. Our goal is to keep shipping predictable, fair, and transparent.
Production & Shipping Timelines
Our rigs are built in small, steady batches. Timelines shift based on workload and material flow, but most orders leave the shop in about two weeks. Your order enters the queue the moment it’s placed, and we’ll keep you updated as it moves through fabrication, finishing, and packing.
Flat‑Rate Shipping (Per Rig)
Rigs ship at a flat rate per unit, displayed at checkout.
This rate is subsidized to keep costs reasonable for most customers across Canada, the United States, and select international regions.
Because carrier pricing varies by distance, routing, and service availability, flat‑rate amounts may differ by region. The rate shown at checkout reflects the subsidized cost for your area.
Accessory Shipping
Accessory shipping varies depending on the items ordered and how they can be packaged.
We always choose the most efficient and cost‑effective method available for your specific order. Final shipping costs for accessories are shown at checkout.
Remote Regions
Some locations fall outside standard carrier service areas and may require additional surcharges.
This includes (but isn’t limited to):
- Alaska & Hawaii
- Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut
- Remote regions of British Columbia
- Northern Ontario
- Northern Québec
- U.S. extended‑area ZIP codes
Remote‑region flat rates are shown automatically at checkout when possible.
International Shipping (EU/UK/AU/NZ)
We currently ship to:
- Sweden
- Finland
- Denmark
- Portugal
- Spain
- Italy
- Austria
- Germany
- Ireland
- Netherlands
- Belgium
- France
- United Kingdom
- Australia
- New Zealand
Spot‑Quoting & Shipping Verification
We subsidize shipping to keep rates predictable, but carriers sometimes apply unexpected surcharges based on:
- Dimensional weight
- Seasonal routing
- Remote‑area classifications
- Fuel adjustments
- Limited‑access delivery fees
Because of this, we reserve the right to verify actual shipping costs before dispatch.
If the real cost significantly exceeds the subsidized rate shown at checkout, we’ll contact you with an updated quote.
You’ll always have the option to proceed or cancel for a full refund before the order ships.
No surprises — just transparency and communication.
Signature‑Required Deliveries
All shipments from 3R Simworks are sent Signature Required. This ensures your order is delivered securely and prevents loss, theft, or misdelivery.
If you are unable to be home to receive your shipment, it is your responsibility to contact the carrier and arrange either:
- a re‑delivery, or
- a hold for pick‑up at a local access point or depot.
Carriers will not leave packages unattended when a signature is required, and 3R Simworks cannot authorize a release on your behalf.
Tariffs, Duties, Taxes & Import Fees
All 3R Simworks chassis and accessories are manufactured in Canada and qualify as Canadian‑origin goods under the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA). This exemption applies only to products made in Canada. If a product is manufactured outside Canada, it may be subject to additional U.S. import duties, taxes, or fees depending on U.S. government regulations.
This designation does not guarantee exemption from:
- U.S. import duties
- state or federal taxes
- Brokerage fees
- Local handling and carrier-assessed charges
International orders may be subject to:
- Tariffs
- VAT
- Customs duties
- Brokerage fees
- Local handling charges
These fees are not included in our product or shipping prices and are the responsibility of the customer. Your local customs authority determines the final amount based on your country’s regulations.
Who Legally Pays U.S. Tariffs and Import Fees
Under U.S. law, the importer of record is responsible for paying any applicable tariffs, duties, or fees to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The importer of record is typically:
- the U.S. buyer,
- the owner or purchaser of the goods, or
- a licensed customs broker acting on their behalf.
Carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL) usually collect these charges electronically before releasing the shipment.
Common Misconception
It is a frequent misunderstanding that the foreign seller pays U.S. tariffs.
This is not the case unless explicitly stated in a written contract.
3R Simworks does not pay U.S. tariffs on behalf of customers.
Customs Classification Overrides (HS Code Changes)
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has the legal authority to review, question, or change the HS code declared on any incoming shipment. While 3R Simworks classifies all chassis and accessories under Video Game Equipment – Parts & Accessories, CBP may reclassify a shipment at their discretion based on their own interpretation of the product.
If CBP assigns a different HS code, this may result in:
- additional duties or taxes
- delays in clearance
- requests for supporting documentation
- re‑inspection or manual review
Any duties, taxes, brokerage fees, or carrier‑assessed charges resulting from a customs reclassification are the responsibility of the importer (the customer).
3R Simworks cannot control or override CBP decisions, and we cannot reimburse fees resulting from a customs‑initiated HS‑code change.
Documentation
We provide all required export documentation, including:
- Commercial invoice
- HS codes
- Country of origin
- Product descriptions
- Declared values
This helps customs processing and minimizes delays.
Custom Made‑to‑Order Production & Final Sale Policy
Any custom made-to-order sales are final once production begins. We do not accept returns or exchanges for made‑to‑order products.
If you have questions before ordering, we’re always here to help you choose the solution that’s right for you.
Damage or Issues on Arrival
We document all outbound shipments before they leave our shop.
If your package arrives with visible damage, please document it before opening:
- Take clear photos of all sides of the box, including the shipping label
- Record a continuous video of the unboxing
This documentation is required for carrier claims.
After documenting, open the box and check the product.
If the item is damaged, contact us within 24 hours with your photos and video. We’ll review the information and assist with the carrier’s investigation. Resolution timelines depend on the carrier’s claim process.
Refused Deliveries & Return‑to‑Sender Policy
If you refuse your incoming shipment for any reason and the package is returned to 3R Simworks, your refund will be limited to 90% of the invoiced value of the goods. Shipping costs are non‑refundable.
3R Simworks will not reimburse or credit back any fees, duties, tariffs, taxes, brokerage or carrier‑assessed charges associated with the shipment or its return. These charges are applied by the carrier or the destination country’s customs authority and remain the responsibility of the customer.
