Supporting Current Systems and DIY Wood Cockpits

Over the past few months, we’ve been having a lot of internal discussions about what we want our presence in this ecosystem to be. From the very beginning, we knew we didn’t want to become another cookie‑cutter platform that forces everyone into the same conformity. That’s why we’re expanding our line‑up to include mounting systems for wood‑based cockpits.

In our very first introduction, we talked about wanting to work with the community to help solve the limitations you were facing with your current cockpits and platforms, and that commitment hasn’t changed. If anything, your feedback has made that mission even clearer.

Listening to the Community

We’ve been paying close attention to the issues you’ve raised: limitations in adjustability, compatibility challenges, and the difficulty of upgrading existing rigs without starting over. A lot of those insights shaped the system we’re about to launch, which is great for anyone looking for a new platform.

But we also know many of you are already invested in a system — and replacing everything isn’t always realistic or necessary.

Supporting Existing Rigs

A major part of our internal discussions has been focused on how we can support people who want better adjustability and stronger mounting solutions without having to abandon the rigs they already own.

Instead of offering one‑off custom parts, we’re taking a more sustainable and scalable approach:

We’re developing a dedicated line of components designed specifically to support existing rigs.

These parts will address the most common compatibility and adjustability issues we see across the community.

The Rise of DIY Wood Cockpits

Another trend we’ve been seeing is the growth of DIY lumber cockpits. Watching people build their own rigs from wood, share their progress, and push themselves to be part of the sport is incredible. It’s one of the clearest signs of passion in this community.

A big part of our internal discussions has been:
“What if we joined our steel approach to a wood platform?”

It’s not a new idea in fabrication. The stair industry has paired steel frames with wood treads for decades. The combination works beautifully — strength where it matters, flexibility where it’s needed.

Introducing Our Lumber Mounting Systems

With that in mind, we’re launching a line of mounting systems designed specifically for wood-based cockpits.

These will include:

  • Universal wheel mount for wood frames
    • tilt adjustment
    • horizontal adjustment
    • vertical adjustment
  • Pedal mounting systems (in development)
  • Seat mounting systems (in development)

Our goal is to give DIY builders the same level of adjustability, strength, and engineering precision that our steel platform offers — without forcing anyone to abandon the rig they’ve already invested in.

This is just the beginning. We’re committed to supporting the full spectrum of sim racing builders, from full‑steel modular systems to home‑built lumber rigs. The ecosystem is stronger when everyone has a place in it.
