Sim Rig Pedal Tilt: How Much Does It Matter in Your Setup?

Adjustable sim rig pedal tilt base for the 3R Simworks modular sim rig platform.

As we get closer to finalizing our release candidate at 3R Simworks, we’ve been refining the ergonomics and adjustability of our modular steel platform. One of the major adjustability decisions we locked in was something that affects comfort, control, and immersion more than most people realize – sim rig pedal tilt.

Sim Rig Pedal Tilt — and Why We Chose to Make It Adjustable

After a lot of internal testing and community feedback, we decided that pedal tilt adjustability is essential. Different drivers prefer different angles, and different racing disciplines demand different ergonomics. A fixed pedal plate would have limited the versatility we’re building this platform around.

Pedal angle influences:

  • ankle and leg comfort
  • braking consistency
  • muscle engagement
  • long‑session endurance
  • how naturally the driving position matches the discipline

So we want to hear from the community as we finalize the adjustment range.

What Pedal Tilt Angle Do You Prefer?

Every sim racer has their own setup, and we want to understand how you approach pedal geometry:

  • What angle do you run your pedals at?
  • Do you adjust your rig depending on the discipline?
  • How important is pedal tilt in your overall comfort and performance?

Different styles of racing often call for different pedal geometries:

  • F1: more reclined seating, pedals angled upward
  • GT: more upright, moderate tilt
  • Rally: steeper angles for rapid transitions and heavy braking

Our goal is to support all of these without compromise.

Why This Matters for 3R Simworks

We’re building a platform that isn’t just modular — it’s engineered to feel right. The sim rig’s pedal tilt is one of those details that separates a “good enough” rig from one that feels dialed‑in for the driver.

By making tilt fully adjustable, we’re ensuring that:

  • every driver can find their ideal angle
  • every discipline can be matched
  • long‑session comfort is supported
  • the rig adapts to the driver, not the other way around

As we close in on our production‑ready prototype, your input helps us fine‑tune the final adjustment range.

More updates are coming soon as we continue shaping the 3R Simworks platform.
